Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Howrah police have uncovered a major drug operation near Howrah Station following a raid at a pharmacy on Mukhram Kanodia Road. The police seized a significant quantity of narcotic drugs after receiving crucial information from drug addicts who had been sent to a rehabilitation center. Upon recovery, these individuals revealed that the drugs were being sold through a pharmacy located close to the station, which led the authorities to initiate a covert operation.
In a well-coordinated action by the Golabari Police Station, two individuals were arrested during the raid. The seized drugs were confirmed to be illegal narcotics, contributing to the increasing drug abuse in the area. Despite previous arrests of gang members and addicts by Howrah City Police and Railway Police, the trade had continued. This operation is expected to disrupt the ongoing network and is part of a larger effort to address the rising drug problem in Howrah.
